Weather Fair

How lovely is a day in May

trees gloriously announce through blossoms grand

long days

silken nights

glittering sunshine

moonbeams bright

rainbow miracle

heavenly delight

morning dew through barefoot toes

foggy view, my delight though fishermen’s woes

grainy sand through fingers sift

build a castle

enlist friend Charlie, he’ll insist

endlessly float on undulating waves adrift

pedaling coastal roads uplift

Oh, my bike now how I’ve missed

rockets red glare light up the night air

people outdoors everywhere enjoying warming weather fair

Spring you elusive flirty flair

My! what you’ve hidden up your sleeve

we’ve caught up with you now that you’re finally here

grateful am I, may I say

How lovely is a day in May?

None more lovely than today
